NCAR and the Climate and Global Dynamics Lab Plans

Abstract

Having been at NCAR for only 6 months now, this seminar will focus on what I've learned about the current priorities for modelling at NCAR and specifically the Climate and Global Dynamics lab. NCAR leadership is currently developing its new strategy. I will reflect on the strengths of the current one, and consider the biggest changes that are taking place externally, and how these may shape what is done at NCAR in the coming years. I will consider some priorities from the Met Office that are relevant to NCAR and present some personal research related to that.
